Converts coordinates between Overworld and Nether using the standard 8:1 X / Z scale. Outputs update as you type.
Computes Euclidean distance between two positions (Overworld or Nether).
High-level steps for clean Overworld ↔ Nether portal linking.
- Build Overworld frame at the target spot without lighting it.
- Stand in the frame, open the F3 screen, and record X / Y / Z of the block position plus your facing direction.
- Feed the Overworld position into the converter to obtain the matching Nether position.
- Travel to the Nether and move to the output coordinates. Build a portal frame centered on that position and light it.
- Return to the Overworld via the new Nether portal and confirm that both directions now link correctly.
- Once verified, disable the original temporary portal to avoid accidental linking to the wrong location.
For multiple portals, keep Overworld frames at least ~8 blocks apart (or ~1 block in the Nether) to avoid overlapping search ranges.
Nether scale factor: Xnether = Xoverworld / 8, Znether = Zoverworld / 8.
